Custom Screen Printed Tote Bags
If you are looking for custom screen printed tote bags for your clothing brand or business then check out this post!
We showcase how we screen printed black 100% cotton tote bags for our customer “The Good Shirts”.
The Good Shirts is a really unique clothing brand with quite an interesting story. Taken from their website:
“Good Shirts began as an Instagram account documenting the strange and fascinating shirts found in Hanoi, Vietnam. While living in Hanoi, I became obsessed with these strange shirts that bore corrupted versions of famous company logoes, misjointed platitudes or complete nonsense text vomited all over a T-shirt…Over time, as the Instagram page grew and as submissions poured in from all across the world, the theme of the account began to change to a more all-encompassing fun T-shirt enthusiasm. Today, I post shirts that, accidentally or on-purpose, make me laugh.”
The Process of Creating Custom Tote Bags
The first step was to ask our customer for the artwork that we would screen print. They submitted their design in vector format which is the best file type for printing. Click here to view our screen printing and embroidery artwork guidelines blog post.
Once we confirmed artwork, we then began to create teh screens. This involved coating the screens with emulsion and then exposing them to light which hardens the emulsion. Once the screens were prepped, we placed them on the press and aligned them so that the design would be printed in the correct location on the tote bag. Our screen printing department is fully automated and each tote bag will be precisely the same.
Once the bags have been screen printed then we placed each bag onto a conveyor belt which moved it through a drying tunnel. This ensured that the ink was completely dry before we packed up the bags for shipment.
How To Tell If Your Order Is Good Or Not
We are really happy with how these turned out! The white ink pops against the black background and looks great. Plus, the “BDSM” design is quite eye-catching to say the least!
In order to determine if your tote bag project turned out successful or not, you’ll want to look at a few key details.
- Is the ink vibrant?
- Is there any blur in the design?
- Does the ink match the color of the original artwork?
- Is the design centered on the garment?
If you answered “no” to any of the questions above then you should ask the company that screen printed your tote bags if they performed a quality control check.
At Garment Decor, we have a multi step quality control system in place. This means that we guarantee your order to come out as expected or your full money back!
