    Combine Run And Satin Stitches
    On Your Embroidered Hats

    Run stitches are the parts of a design that require space to be "filled in". These stitches are flat and used to fill in the largest areas of a design. Satin stitches are used as the border, to create text, and are slightly raised. You can let us know which parts of your design you'd like satin stitched and which ones should contain run stitches. With over 13 years of experience, we suggest letting us digitize your design and propose the satin-to-run stitch ratio to begin. We'll send you an artwork approval and sample before production photo to confirm before production.

      3 Tips for Ordering Custom Dad Hats and Caps from Garment Decor

      1) Choose Your Embroidery Style

      Decide between flat embroidery for a classic look or 3D puff embroidery for a bold design. You can even combine both styles.

      2) Provide High-Quality Artwork

      Submit your design in a high-resolution vector format (AI, EPS, PDF) or 300 DPI (PNG, JPEG) to ensure crisp embroidery.

      3) Plan for Deadlines

      Our standard turnaround time is 7–10 business days, but we also offer 24 hour rush embroidery service.

      How does pricing work?

      Pricing is based on how many stitches your logo has, the order's quantity, the brand/style of the dad hat, and how many locations we are embroidering on the dad hats.

      We offer price breaks, so the more you order the more affordable each hat becomes. 

      Stitch Count Estimator:

      1. Text Based: 0 to 2,500 stitches: Designs containing text only.
      2. Logos: 2,500 to 5,000 stitches:  Artwork that typically has 1-4 colors with limited detail.
      3. Detailed Artwork: 5,000 to 7,500 stitches: Artwork that has moderate to complex details.
      4. Backgrounds: 7,500-10,000+ stitches: Designs that require the logo to have a patch like background to it and are typically larger than 4" x 4". 

      Our minimum order is 50 units with price breaks at 75, 100, 250, 500, 1,000+ and for orders larger we create a custom dad cap quote.

      What is your turn around time?

      Our standard turn around time is 7 to 10 business days (2 weeks). But, we'll always work to meet your due date, so please let us know when you need it.

      We offer 24-hour rush custom dad hat service, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need your order completed tomorrow.

      Please note, projects that contain multiple designs, retail finish service, and contain complex artwork may take additional time. 

      What is the difference between 6 and 5 panel hats?

      Dad hats with 6 panels have a center seam and 5 panel hats do not. 

      Can I supply my own hats?

      Absolutely. 

      Keep in mind we may be able to save you money by supplying dad hats and caps at wholesale, so please contact us before you purchase to see where the most savings are.

      Do you offer samples?

      Absolutely. 

      We always produce a sample before production and do not move forward until you approve.
