Plastisol Screen Printing​

Plastisol screen printing is the most popular and versatile method for creating vibrant long-lasting prints on all types of apparel. We can use plastisol ink on cotton, blends, nylon, spandex, polyester, tri-blends, fleece, and much more. Our high-quality plastisol inks are vibrant which make the colors stand out beautifully on t-shirts, hoodies, and more. Plus, our screen prints won’t crack or fade for dozens of washes and we can use them to Pantone match. Last but not least, our inks are certified safe to wear.

Raised 3D

Puff Screen Printing

Puff screen printing, also known as puff ink printing, is a technique that uses plastisol ink mixed with a puff additive to create a raised texture. This process involves adding an additive into the ink and then running it through a dryer at 320 degrees. The heat causes the additive to rise resulting in a 3d effect. We suggest using t-shirts of at least 6oz and hoodies of at least 10oz when using this technique. Also, we suggest only making one color puff per printing location for the best results.

Simulated Process Printing

Simulated process printing combines multiple ink colors through a layering technique to create detailed designs. It uses halftones of a few ink colors to create the appearance of numerous colors in a design. This process allows for screen printing photorealistic images and graphics with a high level of detail and colors. We can screen print up to 12 colors on any colored fabric and can Pantone match. As a matter of fact, this process relies on our ability to Pantone match to ensure that as the colors blend they create the specific colors we are trying to achieve.

Digital Hybrid Screen Printing

Digital Screen Printing combines traditional screen printing with digital printing technology. It's the newest printing technique in the industry and only a few shops in the nation have this equipment. Jumbo screen printing is popular with clothing brands and businesses looking to create trending custom merchandise. We can screen print up to 17" wide by 23" tall on t-shirts to hoodies and more. To compare, this is 3" wider and 5" taller than our standard screen printing service. Also, we can combine jumbo screen printing with 3d puff inks and simulated process screen printing to create really unique merchandise. Custom Screen Printed Neck Tags

Custom screen printed neck tags are part of our retail finish service. We can screen print any artwork you'd like, but the most popular designs include your brand or company name, the garment's size, a phrase, a website, and wash instructions. This technique is often preferred to t-shirt woven labels, because customer's often say the woven labels feel uncomfortable on the neck. The ink color we use is gray, because it's a soft enough color to not be seen through the back of the t-shirt and is visible on a wide range of garment colors.

    Screen Printing Or Digital Screen Printing - Which Is Best For You?

    Screen printing involves creating a screen for each color in your design. For this reason, typically screen printing is best when your design has 8 colors or less. Digital screen printing, on the other hand, uses a CMYK printer to apply all colors at once, so it's best for photorealistic and complex designs at lower quantities. In this chart we explain the advantages of each, because one technique is not necessarily better than another.

      What ink colors can I use with puff screen printing?

      We can produce almost any color with our puff screen printing services. It's important to note that lighter colors generally display the puff effect more distinctly than darker shades. Also, the ink expands during the printing process, so there may be a slight light shift in color. It's typically around 5-10% from the original color.

        5 Tips for Placing a
        Screen Printing Order

        1.Prepare High-Quality Artwork

        Vector files are ideal (AI, EPS, or PDF) to ensure sharp and clean prints. But, high quality 300 DPI PNG and JPEG files work great too.

        2.Choose the Right Garments

        Ensure you're ordering the right garment for the decoration method. Also, keep in mind, you can combine various colors and sizes within the same order.

        3.Know Your Print Size and Placement

        Be clear about the size and location that you'd like your design printed. We send artwork approvals and samples before production to be on the same page.

        4.Know Your Budget

        Often the biggest cost is the blank garment. There are hundreds of options, so for us to suggest the best options it's important you let us know your budget.

        5.Plan Ahead for Deadlines

        We offer 24-hour rush service, but our standard turn around is 10 business days. Keep this in mind when planning your order.

        Can I use more than one color in screen printing?

        Yes, we can screen print up to 12 colors. For designs that require a broader color palette or super sharp detail then consider our digital screen printing method for a better fit for your project's needs.

        Are there setup fees for screen printing?

        Yes, each color in your design requires its own screen and it's $30 per.

        There are material and labor costs to create a screen plus once the order is complete then the screens are cleaned. These costs are unavoidable and part of the screen printing process.

        Are the screens saved after my order?

        No, we don't save the screens after use. We describe the process like a restaurant and how they clean the plates and utensils after you use them. They clean the materials after each customer and the screen printing workflow is the same way.

        If you think you'll need more garments after your first order then it's best to include the additional garments in your original order, so we don't need to place two separate orders. 

         

        Can I get samples before my production?

        We send artwork approvals and samples before production to approve before we start your full order, but we do not offer 1 piece sample orders.

        This is because of the time it takes to set-up an order. Our speciality is wholesale bulk orders with a minimum of 50 items.

        How long does screen printing last?

        Screen prints are known for their durability and can last the life of the garment with proper care. Washing screen printed items inside out in cold water and hanging them to dry will help preserve the print quality.

        Can you match colors in my artwork?

        Yes, we use the Pantone Matching System to create nearly any color.

        But, we do ask for some leniency, because a perfect match may not be possible.

        How do you price screen printing services?

        Screen printing pricing depends on:

        • Total quantity
        • Printing locations
        • Number of colors in the design
        • Turn around time

        What is the minimum order quantity for screen printing?

        Screen printing is most cost-effective for larger quantities due to the setup involved.

        For this reason, our minimum is 50 items per design and you can mix n' match styles, sizes, and colors of garments within your order.
